About the Founder

A house without a story is just a house, but a house with a story is a home.

Christopher’s love of traditional textiles can be credited to his grandmother June, whose home is blanketed in beautiful rugs and ornate tapestries she collected on her many world travels. Every woven treasure in her home revealed a rich tale of history and adventure, which inspired his own worldly adventures. He became particularly fascinated with the ancient Meso-American textiles of Central America and how many of the motifs and patterns revealed ancient symbols and deities. He believes that by honoring the cultural significance of traditional textiles, those cultures will live on and not become relics of the past like many traditional cultures have.

He believes the products we bring in our homes should tell a story, which gives them not just value but meaning.
